Wednesday Lust Have

Today isn't really about a list of lust-haves, I just have one. I want to be like this guy. He's written a list of everything he wants to do before he dies and some of the things he's done are amazing. You have to check the link out, I garuantee you will be inspired!
One of my favourites:
No. 94: Own a horse, chimpanzee, cheetah, ocelot, and coyote.

And next to that is written, and I quote:
yet to own a chimp or cheetah

that means he already owns a horse, an ocelot and a coyote!

I know you all know what chimps and cheetahs look like, but I thought this post was a bit picture-less (and they're so cute!)

What would your Life List include?

Yankee Candles

Over the past couple of weeks I've been busy deciding which Yankee Candle to ask for for my birthday since I'm obssessed with scented candles at the moment. I thought Yankee Candles might be the best place to start because they have such a huge range and the sample sizes are really inexpensive. I thought about asking for one big one but I've decided for lots of little ones because a big one would take too long to burn, especially if I didn't like the smell. So I'm going for managable tiny ones that (from their names and descriptions) smell fantastic! If I get any on my birthday, I'll be sure to let you know if they're worth the money or not!

You can see a trend in all of my picks; they're all really sweet and (most of them are) cinnamony/spicy.

My Top Ten Yankee Candles (not necessarily in order)

I was going to add Creme Brulee to the list but unfortunately it doesn't have a picture up yet. If you get them from the website you can get up to 50% off the RRP which is a great deal!

And I wanted to get Root Beer Float but they only have that in a large jar and I don't think I'd be able to stand the smell for that long!

Inspire Me Monday

Call me a geek if you want but I'm actually up at nearly midnight trying to finish a Chemistry essay for tomorrow. Called 'The Anomalous Properties of Water and Ice.' Sounds dead boring, doesn't it? :L But I've decided to have a break from non-stop Hydrogen bonds to tell you what has inspired me today.

As you may know, I'm 16 (soon to be 17!) and I still go to school (although now they call it College, but it's basically the same thing...) Anyway, we have to wear a uniform now and its the dreaded 'business wear.' Buut...some people have really put their own spin on the rules and have come up with some really great outfits. There's this one girl who wears the most amazing clothes every day and is short petite (sorry!) enough to wear really high heels with her outfits. And she recently dyed her hair a colour that I absolutely love so today, she is my inspiration. :) but I'm naming no names...

It's kind of like this colour (which is Casting Creme Gloss in Plum) but slightly darker

and this is the kind of jumpsuit she was wearing today. This one is from River Island and is £45.00

I hope you enjoyed my Inspire Me Monday
and I've noticed quite a few people from Russia have come across my blog so Привет to them :)

(I hope that's right! If it's not, blame Google translate!)

Sunday Shoes

I've been having a think about which shoes I can pick for my Sunday Shoes post since I've posted quite a few pictures of shoes during the past week. So I've decided to show you all a picture of my absolute favourite pair of shoes. They're from River Island.

What are your favourite pair of shoes?

SOTW: Chocolate!

Last week I went to the Lake District on a family holiday. We spent a week in Far Sawrey in a tiny little cottage surrounded by fields. Although I don't want to admit it to myself (or anyone else), I did enjoy the piece and quiet of being in the countryside. While we were there, we visited Keswick, and anyone who has been there knows there's a massive chocolate shop. And my mum gave me £10 to spend. How could I turn down an opportunity like that?! So I'm going to do a little chocolate haul because I think these chocolates were the highlight of my week... Sad, I know, but seriously, if you ever get the opportunity to get some, get some! I hope you enjoy my chocolate 'haul!'

The shop was called Ye Olde Friars and the chocolates came in little bag like this

There were loads to choose from, but they were priced by weight so I chose these ones. You can find them all on the website here
From top-bottom L-R:
Dark Chocolate Licqueur Cherries
Crème Brûlée Pyramid
Spiced Cranberry Chocolate (but the inside tastes like gingerbread!)
2x Dark Chocolate Ginger
Mousse au Chocolat
Baileys Irish Cream Truffle
White Chocolate Vanilla Truffle
Raspberry Flavour Crystallised Fondant
Dark Chocolate Coffee Cream

Artistic side view :)

This is my favourite one. Apart from the amazing red colour on the shell, the truffle inside tastes exactly like Christmas! (or at least it tastes like ginger and all the Christmas spices)

These pictures are of my 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th favourite chocolates. I didn't really think I would like the first one (coffee cream) but when I tasted it, it was delicious! (I recommend that one!) The next one is just a bog-standard truffle, but really, really nice :) The third one is a chocolate mousse and I really loved the texture of the mousse. And finally, the Crème Brûlée Pyramid. I was really looking forward to trying this one because it's so unusual but I was slightly disappointed because it isn't very easy to eat. But it tastes great!

The photo is of the cherry chocolate one. I've had these types of chocolates before but I didn't know this one had liqueur in it so I had to quickly hold it and take a photo like that before all the contents dribbled out the side, so excuse the messy nail varnish! But apart from the messiness and the stone in the cherry, this one tasted fantastic.

I hope you enjoyed my mini 'haul'

Have you ever been to Ye Olde Friars? If so, what did you get? If you haven't, why would you love to get?
